The Directorate is responsible for proving legal advice in terms of the Public Enterprises, Governance Act, 2006 (Act no 2 of 2006)

WHAT WE DO

  • Provide regulatory frameworks on the operation of PEs;
  • Conduct legal research on corporate governance and best practices;
  • Provide legal advisory services;
  • Administer PEs Governance Act and Amendments thereof;
  • Create awareness on new development pertaining to corporate governance
  • Support the Ministry in executing its legal mandate
